Fabulous Beaded Wristlets: Back by popular demand!! Learn how to create your own fashion statement with beautiful, ruffled, beaded wristlets. This project will teach you how to knit ruffles and incorporate beads into your work. Your finished wristlets will be the envy of all who see them! There is very limited space in this class so come on in to sign up soon. A list of required supplies will be available at the shop.

Cables, Cables, Cables: De-mystify the art of making cables. You will learn how to knit a basic cable and then how to make the same cable reversible! Just think – you can embellish scarves and afghans so that they will be works of art on both sides! Then, just to make your cabling experience perfect, we will show you an easy method to cable without using a cable needle! Materials are not included and should be purchased ahead of time.

Learn the Art of Fair Isle Design: Learn how to create beautiful designs using different colors in your knitting. You will learn how to “carry” your yarn without puckering, how to change colors without unsightly holes and how to handle yarn with both hands while knitting.

Fixing Mistakes Without Unraveling: Think you have no choice but to unravel and start over every time you drop a stitch? Does screwing up a pattern cause you to abandon your project? Learn easy ways to fix your problems (and lower your frustration) in this workshop. There is some homework required for this workshop but you can use your stash for materials.

Project Class: This is your chance to tackle that sweater you’ve been dying to try. Sign up early as this class fills up quickly. This class will teach you absolutely everything from how to properly do a gauge swatch to how to expertly finish your wearable art for a truly professional look. The project is your choice so you should have all the materials you need already purchased before class starts.

My First Pair of Socks: Never knit socks before? Well, here’s your chance to learn. Using double-pointed needles, you will learn how to knit in the round avoiding the gaps that seem to appear every time you change needles. You will also explore the art of “short rowing” to turn the heel and how to properly measure your foot for a perfect fit. Once you’ve completed that first pair you’ll find sock knitting absolutely addictive!

Socks on 2 Circular Needles: Take your sock knitting to a new level! This technique is great for working lace patterns into your socks and makes it easier to avoid the gaps that sometimes occur by knitting socks the traditional way. Although it’s not mandatory, this method will be easier to learn if you have knit at least one pair of socks before.

Magic Loop Sock Knitting: This method of knitting will literally knock your socks off! Once learned, you will find all kinds of uses for this technique from hats to mittens to seamless sleeves and endless other projects. Once again, although it is not mandatory, it would be helpful if you have knit at least one pair of socks before.

How To Stretch Your Stash: Have that project in mind that you’re dying to make but not sure you have quite enough of that beautiful yarn you bought on vacation to make it? Learn how to use drop stitches to make your yarn go further. Learn how to take all those leftovers and make great one-of-a-kind sweaters. This new class offering is a great way to solve your storage problem. (Then you can buy more yarn!)
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner and UpCost: $25 per person
Finishing: Learn how to sew seams and bury ends in ways to give your hand-knits a wonderfully finished look. Find out how and when to make simple adjustments on your pattern to make your finishing easier and more tailored. This workshop is a must for both the knitter just starting out and the accomplished knitter who wants a better finished product. There is some homework for this class but you can use your stash yarn for it.
